Mr. Javad Mosadeghi was born in 1949. He graduated in Economics, Business Administration and Public Management. He has been engaged in private sector till 1979.
Mr. Mosadeghi joined Ministry of Commerce in 1980 as Vice President and later as President of MPDC, the leading metal product import company in Iran, responsible to control steel market of Iran during war period. He transferred to Ministry of Oil as NITC Board Member and head of commercial and operations Division for 5 years. During wartime he was responsible for famous Shuttle Service from Khark Island to Sirri and Larak Islands for 4 years as well as responsible for salvage operations, chartering, bunkering, hull & Machinery and P&I insurance.
In 1990 he joined Mostazafan and Janbazan Foundation, the largest conglomerate in Iran as Vice President and President of Bonyad Transport Organization for 10 years. He established the first non-governmental shipping company in Iran, as well as airlines and railways companies to break the monopoly of the government.
He is amongst the founders of Asian P&I Club which was converted to Islamic P&I Club in 2001 under the umbrella of Organization of Islamic Shipowners’ Association (OISA) affiliated to Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC).
From 2001, Mr. Mosadeghi continues as CEO of Islamic P&I Club.
Mr. Mosadeghi has delivered speeches and papers regarding privatization of Iranian Economy including shipping and maritime industry. He is known as supporter of privatization and free economy and due to his career he is appointed as Secretary General Iran Chamber of Commerce to facilitate and expedite the change in the economy of Iran.
