Capt. Feisal Ahmed Saad
Manager, Ras Laffan Port Operations, Ras Laffan Industrial City
Capt. Saad is currently the Manager of Ras Laffan Port in Qatar. The port handles LNG from QatarGas and RasGas companies together with the associated products such as GTL, condensates, petrochemicals and LPG.
Feisal Saad began his sea career in 1976 with Clan Line a division of the British & Commonwealth Shipping in the United Kingdom. During his sea career he sailed on various ship types including general cargo, bulk carriers and tanker vessels. He obtained his Master Mariner Certificate in 1987 and thereafter joined the Maersk – A P Moller Company. Gaining command in 1992, he was a Ship Captain on gas and oil tankers for the organisation.
In 1997, he came ashore and was appointed as Maersk Company's Fleet Safety & Quality Manager to oversee the implementation of the ISM Code and gain ISO 9002 Quality Assurance certification. Capt. Saad as a marine specialist also supervised the company's extensive new-build program and delivery of diverse vessel types including oil & gas tankers, container ships and AHTS vessels.
Feisal Saad joined Qatar Petroleum in 1999 as a Port Operations Coordinator. He was appointed to serve as Mesaieed Port's Harbour Master in 2004. In 2007, he was further promoted as the Manager for Ras Laffan Port.
Capt. Saad is a Member of the Nautical Institute, Member of the Royal Institute of Navigation and Member of the Honorable Company of Master Mariners.
