Drydocks World – Dubai, formerly Dubai Drydocks, is one of the leading ship repair yards in the world. It is celebrating its 25th year of operations in 2008 and has been widely recognized for safety, the quality of its services and its outstanding contribution to the industry. The yard handles around 400 vessels in a year and is rapidly developing its expertise in vessel conversion and new building. It is the largest operator in the Middle East region and has accumulated strong project management skills that address the ship repair process from initial tender stage through repair and final delivery. The yard has a dedicated and permanent workforce of over 10,000 people.
It has a vast experience in the repair of all types of vessels and offshore structures and has earned an extremely good reputation. Recently, it has taken up several FSO and FPSO conversion jobs and has several key projects in the pipeline. Its new building arm is taking up a spate of extremely complex assignments such as the building of seismic vessels. The yard’s modern facilities are being constantly upgraded.
