Started his profession as engineering cadet with IRISL in 1975, joined as junior engineer in 1979 and with continuous sailing managed to get his Chief Engineering position in 1986 and joined IRISL technical dept in October 1986 as engineer superintendent, since than has worked in different position in IRISL which are listed below:
- 1979-1986 Sailed as engineer on different types of vessels and in different Ranks.
- 1986 -1988 Engineer superintendent and part time as instructor in University on Marine Engineering courses.
- 1988-1990 IRISL representatives in Singapore mostly looking after technical and dry docking activities of IRISL vessels and commercial operation of vessels in Singapore and regional countries.
- 1990-1992 as manager of IRISL R&D dept mainly taking care of companies’ new building orders and ship’s modifications and up-grading.
- 1992-1994 appointed as managing director of Valfajr shipping company affiliated to IRISL group which is mainly active in passenger shipping with high speed craft and RO-RO vessels and container feedering in Persian Gulf.
- 1999-2006 appointed as Ship Management Director of IRISL looking after all responsibilities of ship management inclusive of new buildings which during the period, 47 vessels of post panamax and handy size container carrier, panamax and super handymax bulk carrier were contracted and joining the fleet.
- 2006 till date is responsible for IRISL ME office plus Oasis Freight Agency in Dubai looking after all IRISL operational activities in 21 countries in Middle East Region and Indian sub continent including Dubai as one of IRISL major container transshipments hub.
